  What is the best investment for enhancing security in Austrian courthouses? In June 2012, international experts met in Vienna to participate in a workshop for the DESSI project. The workshop kicked off the first of three cases that will test the DESSI method. The DESSI project is designing a decision support system that will be released in 2013. The purpose is to provide decision-makers with versatile assessment criteria, taking the complex societal dimensions of security investments into account. Thinking in lines of certain dimensions – along with given evaluation criteria – enables users to make deliberate decisions as well as providing an open and transparent process.
